Staley: South Carolina reserve forward White to transfer
Mar 31, 2016 - 10:59 PM COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) Jatarie White, a McDonald's All-American, is leaving South Carolina's women's basketball program.Gamecocks coach Dawn Staley announced White's decision on Thursday. The 6-foot-4 reserve becomes the second player in as many days to leave Staley's program.
On Wednesday, reserve guard Kaydra Duckett said she would transfer. White and Duckett were part of South Carolina's highly ranked 2014 recruiting class. White, from Charlotte, North Carolina, never broke into the rotation of post players led by the 6-5 Wilson and 6-4 Alaina Coates.
White played in 32 games this season, averaging 2.9 points in just over 11 minutes of action per contest.
