Kentucky grants forward Batouly Camara release from program

(AP) Kentucky freshman forward Batouly Camara has been granted a request to transfer, making her the sixth Wildcat to leave since last fall.Athletic department spokesman Evan Crane confirmed Monday via text that the 6-foot-2 New York, New York, native had sought the release. Camara averaged 5.1 points and 4.3 rebounds in 33 games with 14 starts including the third-seeded Wildcats' 85-72 loss to No. 7 seed Washington in the Lexington Region semifinal of the women's NCAA Tournament.
Camara's 142 rebounds tied for ninth most by a Kentucky freshman.
The Wildcats finished 25-8 and ranked 12th in the Top 25.
