Michigan QB Robinson leaves game
Nov 12, 2011 - 11:39 PM Champaign, IL (Sports Network) - Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson left Saturday's game against Illinois in the third quarter after taking a pair of hard hits on back-to-back plays.He was thrown out of bounds following an 11-yard run early in the quarter, and on the following play was hit hard while throwing a pass.
Television cameras caught him flexing his throwing hand while on the sideline.
Robinson had thrown for 92 yards and rushed for a pair of touchdowns before leaving the game.
Sophomore signal-caller Devin Gardner replaced Robinson under center.
