Yale WR Smith to miss season
Aug 29, 2012 - 5:34 PM New Haven, CT (Sports Network) - Yale's Chris Smith, the Bulldogs' all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards, will sit out the upcoming season.First-year coach Tony Reno said Smith will be sidelined by "personal issues," the New Haven Register reported Tuesday night. Smith is expected to return to school next fall and rejoin the football program.
A two-time All-Ivy League selection, Smith is the program's career leader with 92 receptions for 1,287 yards.
Yale kicks off its season on Sept. 15 at Georgetown.
