Liberty suspends 2012 rushing leader
Apr 2, 2013 - 8:28 PM Lynchburg, VA (Sports Network) - Liberty University running back Aldreakis Allen, the team's leading rusher last season, has been suspended from the program for a violation of team policy, coach Turner Gill announced Tuesday.Student privacy laws prevent Gill or other university officials to comment or provide additional details regarding the matter.
Allen, from Colbert, Ga., led Liberty and ranked No. 2 in the Big South Conference with 1,019 rushing yards on 160 carries and scored 11 total touchdowns last season.
Liberty, which is currently in its spring practice workouts, finished with a 6-5 record and earned a share of the conference title.
