Liberty reinstates suspended Allen
Aug 21, 2013 - 7:37 PM Lynchburg, VA (Sports Network) - Liberty University coach Turner Gill announced Wednesday that running back Aldreakis Allen, who was suspended in April for violation of team policy, has been reinstated to the program.Allen can now fully participate in team activities, although he will not be able to play in the Flames' first two regular-season games. He remained enrolled as a full-time student at Liberty in the months after his suspension.
The senior running back, from Colbert, Ga., ranked second in the Big South Conference with 1,019 rushing yards last year. He scored 11 total touchdowns.
He will be eligible to play at home against Morgan State on Sept. 14.
