Penn State's Robinson to enter 2014 draft
Jan 2, 2014 - 8:20 PM University Park, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - Chalk up another departure at Penn State, as receiver Allen Robinson announced his decision to forgo his senior season and enter the 2014 NFL Draft.Robinson, who took home top receiver honors in the Big Ten the last two seasons and became the first player in the conference for at least a generation to lead it in both receptions and yardage two years running, finished his junior campaign with 97 receptions for 1,432 yards and six touchdowns.
"It was a great honor to play at Penn State," Robinson offered in a Thursday statement. "I am blessed to have played with, and for, the people in the Penn State football program. This is a decision that I believe is best for my family and I, and I wish all the best to the University and all my teammates."
Robinson racked up 177 catches for 2,479 yards and 17 TDs over three seasons for the Nittany Lions.
