Date changed for Bryant-Stony Brook matchup

Apr 18, 2014 - 3:43 PM Stony Brook, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Stony Brook's home game against Bryant on Labor Day weekend has been moved to Thursday, Aug. 28.

The game was originally scheduled for Aug. 30. It will be the first Thursday game in Stony Brook's history.

"I'm looking forward to playing on Thursday night," Stony Brook coach Chuck Priore said. "A number of schools have started their seasons on a Thursday night. This gives our team an opportunity to play in front of our passionate student body and fans the opportunity to get an exciting head start to the holiday weekend."

Stony Brook defeated Bryant, 21-13, last season before a Homecoming crowd of 11,244, the largest crowd in LaValle Stadium history.
