Wachenheim named VMI football coach
Dec 14, 2014 - 8:43 PM Lexington, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Virginia Military Institute named Virginia offensive line Scott Wachenheim as its new head football coach Sunday.Wachenheim a 1984 Air Force graduate, has over 25 years of collegiate coaching experience. He was at Virginia the past five seasons and prior to that was the offensive coordinator and offensive line coach at Liberty from 2006-08.
He replaces Sparky Woods, who was fired after going 17-62 the last seven seasons, including 2-10 this year.
