VMI ready for Wachenheim's debut season
Feb 17, 2015 - 8:33 PM Lexington, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - VMI's first-year football coach Scott Wachenheim will make his debut at Ball State and have six home games as part of an 11-game 2015 schedule announced on Tuesday.The Keydets, who finished 2-10 last season, will travel to Muncie, Indiana, for a first-ever meeting with Ball State on Sept. 3.
Their home games at Foster Stadium are against Morehead State (Sept. 12), Bucknell (Oct. 3) and Southern Conference opponents Samford (Oct. 10), Chattanooga (Oct. 17), Wofford (Oct. 31) and Western Carolina (Nov. 21).
The annual "Military Classic of the South" will be played at The Citadel on Nov. 7.
Wachenheim spent the last five seasons as an assistant at Virginia. He has over 25 years of experience as a college assistant.
