Abilene Christian schedules two FBS games
Feb 17, 2016 - 7:51 PM (STATS) - Abilene Christian is set Friday to break ground on a new on-campus football stadium that is scheduled to open Sept. 16, 2017.The Wildcats know where they will be one week prior to that date.
The Southland Conference program set a pair of future FBS games Wednesday - a Sept. 9, 2017 matchup at Colorado State and a Sept. 4, 2021 game at SMU.
Since moving to the FCS level in 2013, the Wildcats are 1-2 against FBS programs, beating Troy in 2014. They finished 3-8 under coach Ken Collums last season, including a loss at Fresno State.
Their new stadium will have a capacity of 12,000.
