Albany seeks improvement in 2016

Mar 3, 2016 - 5:30 PM (STATS) - Albany will open the 2016 season at Buffalo for the second consecutive year and host six opponents as part of an 11-game schedule announced Thursday.

Their 51-14 road loss at Buffalo last Sept. 5 was their first matchup with an FBS opponent. This year's game will take place Sept. 2.

Albany will host Holy Cross (Sept. 17) and Saint Francis (Sept. 24) in nonconference action and then CAA Football opponents Richmond (Oct. 8), Elon (Oct. 29), Delaware (Nov. 5) and Stony Brook (Nov. 19).

The Great Danes' CAA road games are against Rhode Island (Sept. 10), Maine (Oct. 15), Villanova (Oct. 22) and New Hampshire (Nov. 12).
