Bears select UNI's Hall in fourth round

Apr 30, 2016 - 5:47 PM (STATS) - Deiondre' Hall was lauded for versatility during his career at Northern Iowa, so he figures to be willing to contribute to the Chicago Bears in any way possible.

With the draft being held in Chicago, the Bears selected the defensive back in the fourth round with the 127th overall pick Saturday.

The 6-foot-2, 199-pound Hall, UNI's 18th all-tine draft choice, is a physical defensive player. Measured at the NFL combine with 34 3/8-inch arm length, he played mostly cornerback and free safety at UNI, collecting 242 career tackles with 13 interceptions, including four that he returned for touchdowns.

He also lined up at linebacker, wide receiver and as a returner during his career.

As a senior last season, Hall was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference's defensive player of the year and to the STATS FCS All-America first team.
