Oct 17, 2017 - 6:40 AM OCT 16 MAC WEST DIVISION DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK: Northern Illinois LB Bobby Jones IV...Northern Illinois senior linebacker Bobby Jones IV (Miami Gardens, Fla.) led another magnificent effort by the Huskie defense in a 14-13 win at Buffalo. Jones led with six tackles, four solo, and two of the Huskies' four sacks on the day. NIU, which ranks seventh in the country in total defense, gave up just 39 rushing yards in the game, including only one yard in the second half. Both of Jones' sacks came in the fourth quarter, the first when Buffalo was on the NIU 11-yard line, forced the Bulls into a field goal try which was missed. The second came on the next drive, which ended in a Huskie interception. Overall, four of his tackles came in the second half. - MAC Football
