Florida State reschedules game with Louisiana-Monroe

Nov 7, 2017 - 6:34 PM Florida State has rescheduled its football game against Louisiana-Monroe for Saturday, Dec. 2 at noon, the university announced Tuesday.

The contest was originally scheduled for Sept. 9 but was canceled due to Hurricane Irma.

The Seminoles (3-5) are off to their worst start since 1976 and may need that potential victory against the Warhawks (3-5) in their bid to become bowl eligible.

"I appreciate the efforts of our administration as well as the administration and Coach (Matt) Viator at ULM to get this game rescheduled," Florida State head coach Jimbo Fisher said. "It was unfortunate for both teams that we were not able to play this game in September, and both teams deserve the chance to play their 12th game of the season.

"Any time we have the opportunity to play in Doak Campbell Stadium in front of our fans we are excited. However, this week our complete focus is on Clemson (for Saturday's game)."
