No. 12 Washington inks top recruiting class of 18 players
Dec 20, 2017 - 9:06 PM SEATTLE (AP) — Washington has signed a recruiting class of 18 players in the early signing period that ranks as the best of Chris Petersen's coaching career. The rankings mattered little Wednesday to Petersen, who joked he hoped his class ranked "85th" in the country. Washington's class is ranked 11th by 247sports.com and tops in the Pac-12. The class is led by wide receiver Marquis Spiker from Murrieta, California, and a pair of quarterbacks: Jacob Sirmon from Bothell, Washington, and Colson Yankoff from Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Spiker is ranked among the top 10 wide receivers in the country and set the California state record for touchdown catches with 72. Another big coup for Washington was getting linebacker Brandon Kaho from Reno, Nevada. He had appeared headed for BYU. ___ For more AP college football coverage: http://collegefootball.ap.org and http://twitter.com/AP_Top25No one has shouted yet.
