Broncos agree to terms with Emmanuel Sanders
Mar 16, 2014 - 5:46 PM Englewood, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Denver Broncos have agreed to terms with former Steelers wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders on a three-year contract, pending a physical.Sanders' journey to the Broncos was interesting. According to NFL.com, Sanders' agent, Steve Weinberg, is accused of reaching an agreement with the Kansas City Chiefs on Saturday, then shopping around that agreed-to offer. Sanders also visited the Jacksonville Jaguars and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Sanders set career highs in receptions (67), receiving yards (740) and touchdowns (six) in 16 games last season, his fourth with the Steelers.
The Broncos lost Eric Decker in free agency to the New York Jets.
Originally selected by the Steelers in the third round of the 2010 draft, Sanders caught 161 passes for 2,030 yards and 11 touchdowns in 56 games with Pittsburgh.
The Southern Methodist product has also returned 41 kickoffs for 1,016 yards and 16 punts for 175 yards.
