Jags WR Sanders facing suspension
Jul 23, 2014 - 12:55 AM Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Ace Sanders announced Tuesday he is facing a four-game suspension from the NFL and would likely miss most of training camp.Speaking to reporters via conference call, Sanders didn't say why he would be suspended, except to say it was "really personal" and that he would rather not get into the reasons behind it.
The Florida Times-Union reports Sanders is facing his suspension for violating the league's substance abuse program.
Sanders was second on the team in receptions with 51 to account for 484 yards and one touchdown last season. He was a fourth-round draft pick last year out of South Carolina.
The team placed Sanders on the active/non-football injury/illness list.
