Jags activate WR Sanders
Oct 4, 2014 - 4:52 PM Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Jacksonville Jaguars activated wide receiver/punt returner Ace Sanders to the 53-man roster on Saturday.Sanders missed the first four games of the season while serving a suspension for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.
The South Carolina product caught 51 passes for 484 yards and one touchdown during his rookie season in 2013.
Sanders is eligible to play against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. The Jaguars, however, will be without rookie wide receiver Marqise Lee and wide receiver Cecil Shorts.
Jacksonville waived tight end Mickey Shuler to make room for Sanders on the roster.
