Senators extend affiliation with AHL Binghamton
Feb 8, 2007 - 12:40 AM OTTAWA (Ticker) -- The Ottawa Senators apparently are pleased with their affiliation with the American Hockey League's Binghamton franchise, extending the agreement between the clubs for five seasons Wednesday.Affiliated with Binghamton since 2002-03, the Senators' new deal runs through the 2011-12 season. The Binghamton Senators own a record of 173-144-25 with 25 ties since becoming the top minor-league team of the NHL club.
Ottawa also announced Binghamton and Broome County have agreed in principle on a five-year lease for the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. The deal is pending legislative approval.
