Red Wings activate D Quincey, send to minors
Oct 26, 2007 - 10:18 PM DETROIT (Ticker) -- The Detroit Red Wings on Friday activated defenseman Kyle Quincey from injured reserve and assigned him to Grand Rapids of the American Hockey League.The 22-year-old Quincey had been sidelined with a broken hand, which he suffered in training camp.
A fourth-round pick in 2003, Quincey appeared in six regular-season games with Detroit in 2006-07, scoring one goal. He filled in admirably on the blue line in the playoffs due to injuries, playing in 13 contests without recording a point.
