Flames assign LW Nystrom to minors

Oct 27, 2007 - 10:42 PM CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Calgary Flames on Saturday assigned left wing Eric Nystrom to Quad City of the American Hockey League.

Drafted 10th overall in 2002, Nystrom made his only appearance for the Flames this season on Monday against the San Jose Sharks and did not record a point. The 24-year-old made his NHL debut in 2005-06, dressing for two contests with Calgary.

Nystrom played in four games with Quad City earlier this campaign, notching one goal, one assist and six penalty minutes.
