Maple Leafs assign D Stralman to minors
Nov 8, 2007 - 11:36 PM TORONTO (Ticker) -- The Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday assigned defenseman Anton Stralman to the Toronto Marlies of the American Hockey League.A seventh-round pick in 2005, Stralman appeared in seven games with the Maple Leafs, recording four penalty minutes. Before his recall, the 21-year-old Swede notched five assists and eight penalty minutes in five contests with the Marlies.
Currently in his first season in North America, the native of Tibro collected 10 goals and 11 assists in 53 games with Timra IK of the Swedish Elite League in 2006-07.
