Sabres assign D Sekera to minors
Nov 17, 2007 - 1:18 AM BUFFALO, New York (Ticker) -- The Buffalo Sabres on Friday assigned defenseman Andrej Sekera to Rochester of the American Hockey League.A third-round pick in the 2004 draft, Sekera appeared in 11 games with the Sabres this season, recording one assist and six penalty minutes. The 21-year-old Czech made his NHL debut last campaign, notching two penalty minutes in two contests.
Sekera has played in six games with the Americans this season, registering a goal and three assists.
