Stars assign D Fistric to Iowa

Nov 17, 2007 - 11:23 PM FRISCO, Texas (Ticker) -- One day after being recalled from Iowa, defenseman Mark Fistric on Saturday was assigned to the American Hockey League team by the Dallas Stars.

Drafted 28th overall in 2004, Fistric was brought up by the Stars on Friday after fellow blue-liner Mattias Norstrom was placed on injured reserve. But the 21-year-old was a healthy scratch in Dallas' 6-1 victory over the Colorado Avalanche that evening.

A native of Edmonton, Fistric has appeared in 15 games for Iowa this season, recording one goal, one assist and 30 penalty minutes.
