Flames assign LW Nystrom to minors

Jan 23, 2008 - 7:20 AM CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Calgary Flames on Tuesday assigned left wing Eric Nystrom to Quad City of the American Hockey League.

Drafted 10th overall in 2002, Nystrom has one goal and four assists in 34 games with Calgary this season. The 24-year-old made his NHL debut in 2005-06, dressing for two contests with Calgary.

Nystrom played in four games with Quad City earlier this campaign, notching one goal, one assist and six penalty minutes.
