Bruins send down LW Pelletier
Feb 1, 2008 - 11:40 PM BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Bruins on Friday assigned left wing Pascal Pelletier to Providence of the American Hockey League.Signed as a free agent in August 2006, Pelletier made his NHL debut on January 17 in Boston's 3-2 shootout loss to Toronto. The 24-year-old appeared in six games for the Bruins without recording a point.
In 40 games with Providence earlier this season, Pelletier registered 24 goals, 24 assists and a plus-17 rating. He was named a starter for the Canadian team in the AHL All-Star Game but did not participate as he still was with Boston.
