Oilers send LW Thoresen for conditioning

Feb 7, 2008 - 1:28 AM EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- Patrick Thoresen is about to get the playing time he requires.

Thoresen, who has not been in Edmonton's lineup since January 18, on Wednesday was assigned by the Oilers to Springfield of the American Hockey League for conditioning.

Signed as a free agent in June 2006, Thoresen was recalled from the Falcons on December 1 and appeared in 17 games with the Oilers, recording two goals and one assist. The 24-year-old Norwegian also has registered 12 tallies and 20 points in 23 contests with Springfield this season.

Thoresen made his NHL debut in 2006-07, when he collected four goals and 12 assists in 68 games.
