Wild put Parise back on active roster for season debut
Jan 2, 2018 - 8:42 PM ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — The Minnesota Wild have activated left wing Zach Parise from the long-term injured reserve list, setting him up for his season debut after missing the first 39 games. The Wild made the move on Tuesday before they played the Florida Panthers, reassigning right wing Zack Mitchell to their AHL affiliate to make room on the roster. The 33-year-old Parise underwent microdiskectomy surgery on his lower back on Oct. 24, to alleviate leg pain and weakness the injury was causing. Parise, who's in his sixth season with the Wild after signing a 13-year, $98 million contract, had 19 goals and 23 assists in 69 games last season. ___ For more AP NHL coverage: https://apnews.com/tag/NHLhockeyNo one has shouted yet.
