Italy captain suspended, to miss test
Nov 23, 2016 - 7:30 PM Italy captain Sergio Parisse will miss the home rugby test against Tonga on Saturday after being suspended for three weeks.Parisse was found guilty by the French club leagues of involuntarily hitting an opponent's face with his foot on November 5 while playing for his Stade Francais club against Bordeaux.
The Italian Rugby Federation says coach Conor O'Shea will announce a revised squad for the Tonga test on Thursday.
O'Shea announced his lineup on Tuesday, including Parisse, and made only one change to the team that stunned South Africa last weekend.
Parisse is the most capped international in Italy's history, with 121.
Italy faces Tonga in Padua at the Stadio Euganeo.
