Equatorial Guinea striker suspended from WWC
Jun 28, 2011 - 3:55 PM Augsburg, Germany (Sports Network) - Equatorial Guinea striker Jade Boho was provisionally suspended for two months regarding eligibility to play for the African country, and will miss the 2011 Women's World Cup.Boho, 24, was born in Spain, where she played at the Under-19 level. Although FIFA did not disclose the eligibility issue, it is likely because she played for Spain too recently to be included on Equatorial Guinea's roster.
Equatorial Guinea, which opens its first World Cup on Thursday against Norway, was able to replace Boho on its roster Emiliana.
