USOC, JOC presidents make friendly bet on final
Jul 16, 2011 - 4:39 PM Frankfurt, Germany (Sports Network) - The U.S. Olympic Committee announced that president Larry Probst and Japan Olympic Committee president Tsunekazu Takeda agreed to a friendly wager of iconic items on the Women's World Cup final.If the U.S. wins Sunday's final in Frankfurt, Germany, Takeda will send one case of traditional Japanese sake, a Japanese lacquered tray and a hagoita - a traditional Japanese battledore - to Probst.
Should Japan win, Probst will send a cowboy hat, cowboy boots and a case of Budweiser beer Takeda.
