Cameroon's Eto'o misses training
Jun 15, 2014 - 8:10 PM Samuel Eto'o has missed two days of training with an injured knee and is battling to be fit for Cameroon's World Cup Group A game against Croatia, coach Volker Finke said Sunday."He has a problem with the right knee that he already had at the end of the season with his club Chelsea," Finke told a press conference.
"He did not train yesterday nor today," the coach added.
The 33-year-old striker had a quiet game in Cameroon's 1-0 Group A defeat against Mexico on Friday and was not even present at team training at Vitoria, near Belo Horizonte, on Sunday, an AFP photographer said.
Cameroon play Croatia on Wednesday (Thursday AEST) in Manaus needing a victory to maintain their hopes of qualifying for the last 16. They play their final group game against Brazil on June 23.
