Southampton's Austin out for 3-4 months
Dec 11, 2016 - 6:16 PM Southampton manager Claude Puel says striker Charlie Austin is likely to need shoulder surgery and could be out for between three to four months.Austin was substituted during the first half of Southampton's 1-1 draw with Hapoel Be'er Sheva in the Europa League on Thursday with what Puel said was a dislocated shoulder.
Southampton edged past Middlesbrough 1-0 without Austin on Sunday and Puel gave an update on the striker after the match.
Austin's extended absence comes as a major blow for Southampton, given he has scored nine goals this season and six of their 14 goals in the Premier League.
