Connecticut trades Williams to Dream for No. 4 draft pick
Feb 4, 2016 - 12:50 AM ATLANTA (AP) Second-year forward-center Elizabeth Williams has been traded from the Connecticut Sun to the Atlanta Dream.Atlanta traded rights to the No. 4 pick in the 2016 WNBA draft to Connecticut.
Williams, the former four-time All-American at Duke, was the No. 4 overall pick in the 2015 draft. The 6-foot-3 Williams averaged 3.3 points and 3.2 rebounds as a rookie.
Dream coach Michael Cooper says Williams will give the team ''a defensive-minded center'' and ''additional toughness'' the team lacked last season.
