Fever sign Pohlen, Wheeler to training camp deals
Feb 9, 2016 - 12:10 AM INDIANAPOLIS (AP) The Indiana Fever signed free agents Jeanette Pohlen and Erica Wheeler to training camp contracts Monday.Pohlen, a 6-foot guard, was drafted by the Fever in 2011 and has spent her entire career with Indiana.
Last season, she appeared in 26 regular-season games and six playoff games including the decisive fifth game of the WNBA Finals. She averaged 2.4 points.
Wheeler is a 5-7 point guard who graduated from Rutgers in 2013 and made her WNBA debut last summer. She played 17 games with the Atlanta Dream and finished the season with the New York Liberty. She is currently playing in Brazil.
