Ethier, Rollins power Dodgers past D-backs

Jun 9, 2015 - 5:33 AM Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jimmy Rollins and Andre Ethier both belted three-run homers and Mike Bolsinger defeated the team that traded him in the offseason as the Dodgers rolled to a 9-3 victory over the Diamondbacks on Monday.

Bolsinger (4-1) moved to 4-0 at home this season with seven terrific innings, allowing just three hits and two walks while striking out eight.

"I'm locked in. When I throw the baseball everything is coming together," Bolsinger said.

The only runs he surrendered came on A.J. Pollock's two-run double in the sixth, and by that time the Dodgers were already ahead 9-0 by beating up on Rubby De La Rosa (4-3), who they knocked around for all nine runs on 10 hits over the first five innings.

Howie Kendrick got the scoring started with an RBI single in the first, and Rollins capped a five-run fourth with his seventh home run of the season.

A single and walk opened the inning, and Alex Guerrero and Ethier both hit back-to-back RBI singles before Rollins cleared the wall in right-center.

Ethier tacked on another three-run shot in the fifth, and the hosts cruised from there.

Bolsinger, who went 1-6 with a 5.50 ERA in his first big-league season last year in Arizona, was acquired for cash considerations last Nov. He was riding a 23 2/3 scoreless innings streak at Dodger Stadium before Pollock's aforementioned double.

"Mike located good all game. He hit his spots and threw it where he had to," Diamondbacks leadoff hitter Ender Inciarte said.

Jake Lamb's RBI single in the ninth accounted for the final margin.
