After halting slide, Knicks back at MSG to host Magic

The Knicks snapped a nine-game losing streak in style on Thursday night, embarrassing their crosstown rivals, 113-83 at the Barclays Center in a nationally-televised outing.
"Wherever it's been, I'm glad it came out tonight," said star Carmelo Anthony. "We won tonight, we'll take that, that's all that matters. We want to build off of this momentum."
The Knicks shot a blistering 57.1 percent against the hapless Nets, who shot under 40 percent and committed 16 turnovers.
Anthony led the way with 19 points on 8-for-12 shooting and pulled down 10 rebounds. Iman Shumpert scored 17, going 5-for-7 from long range, and Andrea Bargnani added 16 points before being ejected for taunting Brooklyn's Kevin Garnett.
Raymond Felton, Tim Hardaway, Jr. and Amare Stoudemire also scored in double figures. All 13 Knicks that saw the floor on Thursday scored.
Now all the Knicks need to do is figure out a way to get a home win. They are 1-6 this season in MSG and that lone victory came opening night against the Milwaukee Bucks. The Knicks lost all six home tilts in November.
On Friday, they catch a road weary, or just plain weary Orlando Magic team. The Magic will play the third of a six-game road trip and so far, they are 0-2.
The most recent setback came Tuesday night in Philadelphia when the Sixers outpaced the Magic, 126-125 in double-overtime.
There were three amazing performances in defeat for Orlando.
Arron Afflalo had 43 points, Glen Davis scored a career-high 33 and Victor Oladipo registered a triple-double with 26 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. Oladipo and Philly's Michael Carter-Williams became the first rookies to have triple-doubles in the same game. All three Magic players logged over 50 minutes of action.
"It may not be a big deal in the history of the game, but to be playing basketball for 50-some minutes in a game is a lot of fun," Afflalo told the team's website. "In terms of the magnitude of the game, it was just another regular-season game. But it was a lot of fun to keep pushing the envelope when I'm pretty sure most of the fans and personnel thought the game was over."
The Magic were without Nikola Vucevic and Jameer Nelson in Philadelphia and both are listed as day-to-day.
Orlando will visit Houston, Memphis and Charlotte on this sojourn.
The Knicks have won six straight and seven of the last eight meetings. Orlando has dropped three straight in Madison Square Garden.
