Ducks snap to attention late, beat 'Canes in OT

Feb 4, 2015 - 5:41 AM Anaheim, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Ryan Getzlaf's tally at the 45-second mark of overtime vaulted Anaheim over Carolina by a 5-4 count at Honda Center.

Getzlaf one-timed a Corey Perry dish past Anton Khudobin, capping a rally which began when Devante Smith-Pelly scored with 10:29 left in regulation and continued after Perry evened the score with 4:08 to play.

Perry finished with two goals and the primary assist on the winner while Getzlaf added two helpers for the Ducks, who won for the seventh time in their last nine outings.

Ryan Kesler also lit the lamp and Frederik Andersen came up with 28 stops.

Jordan Staal, Alex Semin, Jay McClement and Brad Malone scored once each for the Hurricanes, who have dropped three in a row.

Khudobin was on the hook for all five goals on 31 shots.
