Ten-man FC Dallas ties Chicago
Mar 20, 2011 - 2:57 AM Frisco, TX (Sports Network) - Milton Rodriguez scored as 10-man FC Dallas tied the Chicago Fire, 1-1, at Pizza Hut Park in the season opener for both clubs on Saturday in Major League Soccer.Diego Chaves scored the opener for Chicago (0-0-1) in the 17th, but Rodriguez answered one minute later for Dallas (0-0-1) to cap the scoring.
Dallas, which lost the MLS Cup final last season to the Colorado Rapids 2-1 in overtime, had Brek Shea sent off early after halftime, but Kevin Hartman made a few good saves to preserve a point.
Chicago hosts Sporting Kansas City in its next match on March 26. Dallas hosts the San Jose Earthquakes on March 26.
