Storm picks up first win
Apr 8, 2007 - 6:19 AM TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- The Tampa Bay Storm snapped their five-game losing streak and picked up their first victory of the season with a 66-43 Southern Division triumph over the New Orleans VooDoo.Stoney Case completed 19-of-23 passes for 197 yards and three touchdowns for the Storm (1-5), who remain in last place in the division. Case also had a 1-yard touchdown run and Torrance Marshall added 42 rushing yards and three scores on 13 carries.
T.T. Toliver had 10 receptions for 91 yards and a touchdown and Terril Shaw added five for 74 yards and two scores for Tampa Bay, which had its highest scoring output of the season.
Steve Bellisari passed for 277 yards and six touchdowns but was intercepted three times for the VooDoo (3-3), who converted 3-of-9 on third down.
Jacques Rumph caught eight passes for 108 yards and three scores for New Orleans, which outgained Tampa Bay, 330-264, but committed five turnovers.
