Storm roll past Rampage
Jun 17, 2007 - 4:54 AM GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan (Ticker) -- Brett Dietz threw four touchdown passes and Torrance Marshall ran for three scores as the the Tampa Bay Storm topped the Grand Rapids Rampage, 69-40, on Saturday.Terrill Shaw, Karl Williams, Hank Edwards and Marvin Brown all hauled in touchdown passes for the Storm, who scored the final 28 points of the game en route to the victory.
Tampa Bay (8-7), which had already secured a playoff spot in the National Conference before Saturday's win, never trailed in the game.
Lawrence Samuels caught a team-high nine passes from Dietz, who finished 22-of-37 for 272 yards and an interception.
Playing out the season at this point, Grand Rapids (4-11) was outscored, 31-6, in the second half after trailing by just four points at the half.
Rampage quarterback Adrian McPherson finished 24-of-37 for 297 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions. Cornelius Bonner lead all receivers with 116 yards receiving and caught two of McPherson's touchdown strikes.
