Philyaw fuels Gladiators past Destroyers
Jun 22, 2008 - 5:39 AM CLEVELAND (Ticker) -- Raymond Philyaw tossed six touchdown passes as the Cleveland Gladiators gained a postseason berth with a 47-35 triumph over the Columbus Destroyers on Saturday night.Philyaw completed 20-of-27 passes for 269 yards for Cleveland (9-7).
Randy Hymes, who was making his Arena Football debut, had four catches for 78 yards and three scores.
Matt Nagy completed 24-of-43 passes for 293 yards and three touchdowns while C.J. Johnson had 11 catches for 173 yards and a score for Columbus (3-13).
