Crunch claim D Cullen off waivers

Nov 29, 2007 - 9:12 PM SYRACUSE, New York (Ticker) -- The Syracuse Crunch on Thursday claimed defenseman David Cullen off American Hockey League waivers.

A native of St. Catharines, Ontario, Cullen played for Farjestads of the Swedish Elite League this season after collecting four goals, 19 points and 73 penalty minutes in 51 games for the DEG Metro Stars of the German Elite League last season.

The 30-year-old blue-liner has played in 458 AHL games, compiling 50 goals, 178 assists and 270 penalty minutes for Springfield, Houston and Rochester.
