Luckless defender Mohr re-signs with GWS
Nov 7, 2016 - 2:22 AM Greater Western Sydney have showed faith in injury-plagued defender Tim Mohr with a new two-year AFL deal.Mohr played his first senior game in two years in May after two knee reconstructions, having first broken down in round 18, 2014.
He played just one more game for the season and did not feature in the Giants' 2016 finals campaign, but he could play a bigger role next year with the retirement of veteran backman Joel Patfull.
The Tasmanian has played 45 games since joining the Giants ahead of the club's foundation year in 2012.
The Giants have also shored up their ruck stocks, with Shane Mumford back-ups Tom Downie and Dawson Simpson signing contract extensions.
Midfielder Jake Barrett has been delisted ahead of this month's AFL national draft where the club will add to its depth through its three top-15 picks.
