Nov 10, 2016 - 11:51 PM Gold Coast defender Rory Thompson will remain with the club until at least the end of the 2019 AFL season. The Suns junior has signed a three-year deal with the club he debuted with in 2011 and has gone on to play 79 games for.
"I'm very excited to be staying at home on the Gold Coast," Thompson said.
"I was born and bred here and looking forward knowing I'm going to be here for a few more years."
Thompson, standing at two metres tall, played 10 games in 2016, averaging 10 disposals and 4.9 marks per match.
Suns football manager Marcus Ashcroft said he was "rapt" that the 25-year-old had re-signed with the club.
