Paddy keeps AFL return riding with award

Oct 6, 2017 - 7:03 PM Paddy Ryder has made his return to the AFL count after a year off by winning Port Adelaide's best and fairest award.

The 29-year-old won his first John Cahill Medal after earning votes in all but one of the 22 games he played for the Power in 2017.

Charlie Dixon and Tom Jonas were second and third.

Sam Powell-Pepper won the Gavin Wanganeen Award as best player under 21 and Sam Gray took the Coaches' Award as most improved.
