Oct 6, 2017 - 7:04 PM Sebastian Ross has won his first Trevor Barker Award as St Kilda's best and fairest player. The 24-year-old received 159 votes to easily finish on top ahead of Dylan Roberton (124) and captain Jarryn Geary (121).
Coach Alan Richardson said the award was the result of hard work and perseverance.
"His form this season was no surprise given how hard he works on his game, and how hard he has worked over the past few years," Richardson said.
"His commitment to his preparation during the week and his performances on game-day really set the standard for our group this season.
"We're really excited by Seb's year, but probably more excited by where we think he will get to as a player."
Geary picked up the award for best clubman while Jack Billings was named best young player.
