Bombers' Renaud calls it a career

Feb 5, 2015 - 3:13 PM Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - Winnipeg Blue Bombers punter Mike Renaud has announced his retirement.

Renaud played each of his six CFL seasons with Winnipeg and his 28,490 punt yards ranks fourth in club history.

"I throughout enjoyed my time in Winnipeg," said Renaud in a statement Thursday. "I really, honestly, cherished my time as a Bomber, and love the organization. It's a place I wanted my career to end when that time did come. It's time to move on, and enjoy life after football."

Renaud, acquired in a trade with Calgary in June 2009, appeared in 86 games with the Bombers. He was a 2010 East Division All-Star.
