Coulter-Nile shines again in Australia ODI
Sep 21, 2017 - 12:40 PM Nathan Coulter-Nile has continued his impressive return to international cricket for Australia, snaring three wickets in each of the first two one-day internationals against India. The West Australian paceman took 3-51 from his 10 overs in Thursday's match in Kolkata.
For the second time in as many games, Coulter-Nile picked up the prize wicket of Virat Kohil.
The Indian captain atoned for making a duck in the series-opener by top scoring with 92.
After looking destined for a century, Kohli got a ball angling into him and chopped it on to the stumps.
Earlier, Coulter-Nile picked up opener Rohit Sharma with a sharp return catch and had Kedar Yadav caught by Glenn Maxwell at backward point.
The five-match series is the first time Coulter-Nile has played for Australia since June last year.
A stress fracture in his back kept him out of action until playing eight IPL matches for the Kolkata Knight Riders earlier in the year.
Indian opener Ajinkya Rahane was the only batsman who dominated Coulter-Nile, driving him through the off-side for five fours.
Coulter-Nile's performance in Kolkata comes after he claimed 3-44 in Chennai.
In both matches he has received good support from new ball partner Pat Cummins who has applied pressure with pace and accuracy.
